Officially named the General Edward Lawrence Logan International Airport (BOS), Boston's busy air facility is located alongside the harbour and comes with no less than six lengthy runways.
This is a vast operation, with the complex covering close to 1,000 hectares / 2,500 acres and being responsible for in excess of 15,000 employees. Boston Airport serves as an important aviation hub for a number of airlines, such as Cape Air, Delta, JetBlue Airways, Penair and US Airways.
Passengers will find just over 100 different gates, spread around four terminals. These terminals are named A, B, C and E, and are linked by a combination of courtesy shuttles and moving walkways.
Terminal Information
Logan Airport's four large terminal buildings were reconfigured in 2006 and serve a number of major airlines. At this stage, the gates for Terminal D were incorporated into C and E.
- Terminal A - with gates A1 to A12, and also A13 to A22 (satellite)
- Terminal B - serves domestic and international airlines, with gates B1 to B38
- Terminal C - serves domestic American and international airlines, with gates C11 to C42
- Terminal E (Volpe International) - serves a large number of domestic American, Canadian and international airlines, with gates E1 to E13
